Unification for Civilized Behavior & Progress:Will the terrorist attack in the United States against
all civilized people be enough to provide the rational understanding that we must stop our
focus on racial, gender, religious, cultural & economic in-fighting and cooperate to
protect civilization from the uncivilized?
Yes No, nothing could accomplish that
Yes,
obviously we need to de-emphasize the in-fighting on minor issues and cooperate on big
issues if civilization is to make progress. |

| Man,
Woman, Person(s) of the Year? |
 |
Time Magazine has selected its annual Man --
uh-oh, strike that -- Persons of the Year for 2002, and the winners are 'The
Whistleblowers.' Please check out the pose, note the genders(?), and answer
the question, "What does this say about us, our culture, Time Magazine,
women's roles today, and where are we headed?" |
These
are the most significant & accomplished women today
Women must form a circle and fold their arms to demonstrate how tough they
are
Time has lost
its way & is flailing
All whistleblowers are women
All important
whistleblowers are women
We have reached the point where standing up & speaking the truth gets
special awards
Why did they keep quiet & tolerate all that dishonesty while they were
being paid & only come forth when their companies were about to cease to exist --
along with their paychecks?

baseball: USA Today, December 10, 2002,
reports: "Pete Rose, banned from baseball since 1989 for illegal gambling, is
close to being reinstated. The all-time hits leader could be on the Hall of Fame
ballot next December and back in baseball in some capacity by 2004 if ongoing negotiations
with Commissioner Bud Selig are successful." Should
Pete Rose be allowed back in the game/business/culture of baseball? |
Yes,
even though he has lied ever since 1989 about his gambling.
No -- Because even though he could play well, he also lied, gambled, broke
the rules, and sports have to be played by the rules. |

the nation: Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin and
Barbra Streisand often speak out against George W. Bush's policies hoping to sway our
political views. Why would anyone listen to the political views of these very
wealthy, uneducated, Hollywood life-styled people? |

would
I don't know anyone who would
I prefer to make up my own mind

the environment: In his last days as president,
Clinton enacted a multitude of executive orders aimed at limiting and restricting access
to natural resources including forests and oil and natural gas producing lands.
These will restrict access to natural resources in the territorial United States thereby
insuring U. S. dependence upon foreign nations for oil and other resources. These
restrictions will also limit the products and natural resources, such as lumber, that the
U. S. will have available to sell to other nations.
California has restricted and limited building of electric power generating
facilities for over two decades. Today California is in brownout, blackout and
shortage situations along with extremely high prices due to the electricity shortages.
Clinton's limits and restrictions will cause the United
States to suffer oil, natural gas, lumber, and other shortages just as California is in
today with electricity. |

Not New But Interesting: |

On September 20, 1999, the final Whitewater report was
issued. It stated there was not enough evidence to prosecute Bill & Hillary.
How do you feel about this? |
I
am pleased that Hillary was elected to the U.S. Senate so she can continue to do great
things
Now I know justice prevails
Now I know justice sometimes fails
The entire investigation was mishandled

| Old,
But Interesting: Fox news reports
that Bill Clinton's operatives attempted to hire public relations
experts to campaign for Clinton to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Campaigning for the Nobel Peace Prize is considered unethical and improper in
Sweden, where the Prize is awarded. Swedish government officials known
to
promote candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize are discredited.

their unethical behavior. |

New, Yet Interesting: The New York Times
reports that the Senate campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton obtained 1,400 names from an
official government list of visitors to the White House and sent them solicitations for
political contributions. The visitor list came from annual holiday events at the
White House that are customarily paid for by the political party that controls the
presidency. But the invitation list is considered U. S. government property
and it is considered improper to use it for political purposes.

| Some details on the U. S. budget surplus: The New York Times, October 20, 2000
Taxes thrown off by the soaring stock
market contributed handsomely to the surplus. So did higher
tax rates on the rich, enacted just before their incomes surged ahead of other
Americans' in the booming economy of the 1990's. Cutbacks in
military spending after the cold war also helped significantly. Without these
three windfalls, the budget would be in deficit today.
The bull market and the surge in tax revenue from the rich by
themselves brought the budget out of deficit. If the market had risen more slowly in
the 1990's, or income had been distributed more evenly across the work force, then the
current surplus of $81 billion would instead be a deficit approaching $100 billion,
according to government estimates. And if military spending had simply held steady
at the 1990 level of $289.8 billion, instead of falling, then an additional $261 billion
would have been subtracted over the decade from the surplus. The nation, in sum,
would have been struggling today with an annual budget deficit of more than $300 billion,
about as high as the annual deficit has ever been for federal government operations other
than Social Security.
I thought we actually had a surplus under Clinton
I understood that all along |

| While president,
Clinton released 30 million barrels of the 571-barrel U. S. strategic oil reserves to help
stabilize oil and gas prices. Many experts feel that a nation's strategic oil
reserves should be used only to deal with supply disruptions or war. Is Clinton's
precedent-setting release of some of the U. S. strategic oil reserves appropriate? |

While traveling at US
taxpayer expense, Mrs. Clinton, speaking at a conference on culture and economic
development, warned that development projects risk failure unless they reflect the lives
and traditions of the people they serve. "I see the desire of so many to try
and assert their identity against the mass culture fueled by globalization," she said
during the speech. "We must bring a new cultural literacy and cultural respect
to all our development strategies."
Does she think most of us are foolish enough to believe her statement has any substantive

| The United States
portrays itself as welcoming diversity. Many minority groups portray themselves as
wanting to assimilate and integrate into society. How do you reconcile the

These groups don't
