May, 2003:   Dateline Our Culture:  There is a TV show called 'American Idol.'  It just finished a series of episodes.  Viewers telephone in their votes for their American Idol choice.  The final vote tally is being 'reviewed' for alleged discrepancies.  The winner, Studdard, and runner-up, Aiken, are shown to the right with the winner pictured to the right.
