1. Some months ago, after much discussion, Paul Girard's agent recently
announced that the 5 foot 3 inch-tall man would be invited to play on the Penguin
basketball team even though all other players are over 6' 6" tall. He has been
playing for several weeks now. Mr. Girard's agent said that, "This is a great
stride forward for all short people." |

| 2. Immediately
following Paul Girard's announcement, his college roommate, Stanley Martin, announced that
he also wanted a position on the team even though he stands 5' 1" tall. Mr.
Martin stated that, "It would not be fair for the Penguin's management to allow Paul
to play, yet not provide me
with the same opportunity." Penguin team management later
announced that it will accept Stanley Martin and he has been playing on the team's first
string line up with Paul Girard. |

|
| 3. The Penguin
basketball team has not won any of its 23 games this season. Tragically this is
coincidental with the fact that it has not won a single league game since Paul and Stanley
started playing. |
Really?
How can that be? |
|
| 4. The Penguin
basketball team recently announced that it has confidence in Paul and Stanley and remains
confident that the Penguins will return to their old consistent winning ways soon. |
That's good
of them
That's foolish of them |
|
| 5. A few months
ago the Nationwide Basketball Association of America, NBAA, announced that it would
mandate that all 36 of its member teams must also sign at least two (2) players shorter
than 5' 4". Any team not following that hiring guideline will be suspended from
playing in the NBAA league. |
That's
only fair
That's not fair |
|
| 6. Three weeks
after full implementation of the new hiring guidelines --- after each of the
36 teams hired two or more players under 5' 4" --- the Penguins returned
to their winning ways! In fact, they won 12 and lost only 3 games since all their
competitor teams hired the height-challenged players. |
Of course, that was to be
expected
Wow, that surprises me |
|
| 7. As of last
month the NBAA league was back to normal. Each team had something resembling
their more-usual
won-loss records. |
Of course, that was to be
expected
Wow, that surprises me |
|
| 8. Three weeks
ago the Cross-national Basketball European league, CBE, representing all of its 12
European national teams challenged the NBAA league's 36 teams to a World Series of
Basketball. |
That should be a good chance for the NBAA to show off its prowess since it
represents the home of basketball
That's not fair |
|
| 9. Reports of
the final playoffs in the NBAA -- CBE challenge World Series were somewhat discouraging
for most United States' NBAA fans. The CBE has won every game. In fact the
winning point spread was in every game no less than 47 points! |
The
referees must be European
Wow, Europe really
grows some good basketball players |
|
| 10. Each CBE
team should be required to hire at least two height-challenged players just as each NBAA
team is required to do. |
Agree
Disagree |
|
| 11. When do you
think the NBAA league will return to hiring all players for all teams based only on each
man's ability to play basketball? |
When it loses the
Basketball World Series
Never because
it would not be fair to height-challenged men
I
don't know that, but when will the NBAA require each team to hire at least 50% women??? |
|
| 12. Rumors
persist that the Women's Nationwide Basketball Association of America, the WNBAA, is
working to establish a Grand Challenge Series. This best of seven series would test
the top four teams in both the NBAA and the WNBAA leagues. Which league would you
bet on to win? |
NBAA
WNBAA
It
depends on how many height-challenged players are in first string for the NBAA |
|
| 13. People fail
to understand that hiring someone who can't perform as well as another potential employee,
but has some mandated characteristic, will eventually cause lower
quality products and services across the entire work force. Do you understand this
fact? |
Yes
No |

All people are
created having equal skills and capabilities.
All people
are created and given equal rights at the time of birth.

If
we were all created equal, we would we all have the same skills and capabilities.
If
we were all created equal, we would all play basketball as well as Michael Jordan.
Since
we are all created & given equal rights, each of us should have the right to try out
for the Chicago Bulls basketball team. |
