Today's Issue: The
US Constitution, written well over two-hundred years ago, has been the foundation for
building a great nation. Can today's society continue to evolve using this
document as its foundation? |

| 6. From time
to time we hear that some organization or public action lawyer has filed a lawsuit to
limit or eliminate some product or service. For example, recently a San Francisco
lawyer threatened to file a suit against Nabisco calling for the court to mandate that it
is illegal for children to consume Oreo cookies because they contain trans-fatty acids.
Another example is the Brooklyn lawyer group that filed a suit -- thrown out a few
months ago but now reworked -- asking the court to order McDonalds Corporation to
pay some overweight people for being overweight because they ate McDonalds food which made
them fat. The basis for these suits is often
identified as a variation of some constitutional principle known and accepted by most
people. When we hear them reported some of us think, "Wow, that's an
interesting variation of a constitutional concept." |
These suits are twisted interpretations of good, important principles
These
lawyers are only out to make big names for themselves
A rational court system administered by judges of reason would not accept
these frivolous law suits
These lawyers are our only protection from greedy corporations that are
operated by our family members, neighbors, and college friends |

States -- created well over 200 years ago -- built itself into an economic powerhouse,

for millions of immigrants from around the world, and has been the birthplace of countless

Supreme Court, Congressional legislation and the Executive branch deserves credit for the
over 200 year-long success and development of the USA. |
