Please consider the last 300 years:  Consider the social, cultural and technological developments made by Western Civilization and available to other civilizations around the world in the form of aid, business ventures and educational opportunities.  Many of these advances have been accepted and implemented in the United States.  Today the majority of U.S. citizens live in relative comfort, safety and happiness, limited primarily by each individual's ability to work and succeed.

In light of this overall perspective, why wouldn't other people want to learn from Western Civilization in order to improve their own existence?
